Technical documentation should demonstrate how the applicable product requirements are addressed. Its contents depend on the relevant legislation and the product. A declaration summarises the responsible party's conformity statement where required, but it does not replace the supporting evidence. Machinery documentation must use the declaration type appropriate to the applicable legal framework.

Do not create a generic EU declaration for products solely because they fall under REACH, WEEE or GPSR. Check the actual declaration requirements. PPWR has its own conformity-documentation framework.
